IT was smiles all round at a Leamington care home as relatives were welcomed back through the doors.
Government recently issued advice that one visitor would be allowed to visit a family member or friend.
And at Cubbington Mill one resident, who has until now been seeing family through video calls and in a ‘visiting suite’ said: “Nothing beats seeing my daughter in the comfort of my bedroom. This was a special moment, and I was over the moon.”
Care home general manager Dimpho Kavangah added: “This is the first cautious step towards having a buzz of visitors in the home again.
“It was wonderful to see how happy it made our residents and their relatives.”
