Stratford-upon-Avon welcomes a new shopping destination that reflects the way we live today. HUDSON’S, located in the iconic building that once housed ‘Bonds’ on Evesham Road, opened its doors to the public on September 1st, 2023. Spanning an impressive 16,000 square feet, across two floors, the store plays host to 45 esteemed decorative antique and vintage dealers, complemented by a stylish café.

The store’s unique appeal lies in a fusion of old and new. You’ll discover beautiful spaces, meticulously curated by interior designers, that offer the perfect inspiration for seamlessly blending timeless antique and vintage pieces with stylish modern furnishings in your own home.

James Hudson, the visionary behind HUDSON’S, has drawn from his extensive career experience and personal passions to create this one-of-a-kind shopping destination. With a background in food and drink, including training as a chef, and over 15 years in the world of antiques, Hudson saw an opportunity to redefine the concept of an antiques centre, “There’s a wealth of wonderful dealers serving a whole new generation that appreciates mixing the quality and sustainability of vintage & antique items with more modern pieces to add character into their homes,” he shares.

Each visit to HUDSON’S promises a fresh experience, thanks to the ever-evolving inventory and the diverse range of carefully sourced items from across the globe. With options to suit every pocket, from one-of-a-kind antique furniture pieces to vintage homewares, soft furnishings, art and gifts, finding something truly unique is guaranteed.

An essential pillar of HUDSON’S mission is its unwavering commitment to the community. The store has provided employment opportunities to many talented and experienced individuals who faced job loss when ‘Bonds’ closed its doors. This underscores HUDSON’S dedication to supporting local talent and fostering a sense of unity within the community.

In addition to its impressive selection of antique and modern homeware, HUDSON’S offers a relaxed and dog friendly café experience which is already proving popular. Visitors can savour the delicious home cooked dishes, artisan pizza, nutritious salads and expertly crafted barista coffee in beautifully styled surroundings. Alternatively, a takeaway service is available for those on the move.

To celebrate its opening, HUDSON’S is hosting a launch celebration event on October 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public and attendees can look forward to welcome drinks, canapés and exciting giveaways.

A highlight of the event will be the presence of Adi Higham from BBC’s “The Bidding Room” and “The Antique French Farmhouse” who will be there to meet guests, alongside Chairman of District Council, Victoria Alcock and Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon, Kate Rolfe.

James Hudson and the entire HUDSON’S team are thrilled to invite the local community and visitors to explore this unique shopping destination. Whether you have a passion for antiques, are seeking modern home furnishings or simply want to enjoy a delightful café experience, HUDSON’S is open and ready to welcome you: Dodwell Trading Estate, Evesham Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 9ST. Open 7 days a week 10 – 5 pm (4pm on Sundays).
