Ladysmith Black Mambazo bring South African rhythms to Warwick Arts Centre

Stratford Editorial 30th Apr, 2018   0

SOUTH African male choir Ladysmith Black Mambazo take to the stage at Warwick Arts Centre on Friday May 11.

The acapella group formed more than 50 years ago but were catapulted to worldwide fame after working on Paul Simon’s 1986 album Graceland.

A year later Simon produced Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s first worldwide release, Shaka Zulu. The group re-recorded the album last year along with ‘Songs of Peace and Love for Kids and Parents Around the World’ – both scooped Grammy nominations.
