TOM Kinsey scored a hat-trick as Earlswood Town secured a stunning 5-1 victory against Birmingham United at Glades Football Centre.

Kinsey netted a treble while Earls captain Louis Bridges scored a brace to cap off a huge win for the home side with Jordan Kondo on target for The Blinders.

The result means Earlswood sit 12th in the Midland Football League Division Two table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Despite the visitors from Redditch finishing their season with this fixture, the Earls still have eight games to play.

Earlswood broke the deadlock inside five minutes when Bridges found the top right corner with a superb effort from 25-yards out following a quick counter attack.

And the Earls doubled their lead on 18 minutes when Kinsey squared the ball to Bridges who blasted home after Harry Street stole the ball off Birmingham goalkeeper Tristan Ramsay.

Kinsey made it three before the break with a fine curling effort into the bottom corner after a clever piece of skill created space for a shot in the penalty area.

The visitors pulled a goal back through Kondo only for Kinsey to grab his second of the game after Ramsay could only spill a shot into his path.

And Kinsey completed his hat-trick late on after he cut in from the left and sent a dipping shot into the far corner.

Earlswood are next in action away at Bolehall Swifts on Thursday, April 25 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Rene Road.
