SHAKESPEARE’S Schoolroom and Guildhall chalked up a win at the West Midlands Tourism Awards.
The Stratford-based attraction was named Small Visitor Attraction of the Year at a ceremony held at The Bear Grylls Adventure in Solihull.
The awards shine a spotlight on the visitor attractions, venues and businesses that make the West Midlands one of the country’s leading cultural destinations.
Lindsey Armstrong, general manager for Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall, said:“We are absolutely delighted to win the award for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year. This reflects the incredible work our staff and volunteers do to make a visit to Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall a world-class visitor experience. The West Midlands is an area rich in cultural attractions, so to win an award in this prestigious company is truly thrilling.”
The West Midlands Tourism Awards comprises 14 categories and the winner from each will now take its place in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2024 for the chance to be recognised as a national winner.
