STRATFORD-upon-Avon Boat Club were able to purchase a set of specially modified blades through a grant offered by the Toyota Community Fund.
The club took possession of the sculling oars which allows Stratford to offer rowing coaching to a wider pool of disabled rowers who require specialised equipment to perform.
And the Toyota Community Fund is a programme of small grants designed to help local charities, schools and community projects.
The fund has supported over 650 projects aimed to benefit health and well-being and has provided over £1million since its inception in 2011.
Stratford Boat Club’s Head Adaptive Coach, Mark Dewdney, said: “The new blades have meant that the club been able to offer rowing coaching to a wider audience of disabled rowers.
“These rowers need specialised equipment for their sport so that they can compete, train and participate at a higher level.
“We are so grateful to Toyota Community Fund for their grant which has made this possible”
