New Chair appointed to Stratford BID Board

Stratford Editorial 26th Apr, 2023   0

A NEW Chair has been voted in at Stratford BID.

Rich Jones takes over as Chair of the BID Board following a meeting on Tuesday (April 19).

Louisa Stott was acting as Interim Chair, but has now resumed her position as Vice Chair.

Rich has been the Bell Court Centre Manager for four years and has been a BID Board Director for three years.

Louisa, Head of Commercial for The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, temporarily took over from Peter Monks who left the Board to focus on his rapidly expanding business – The Shakespeare Distillery – in March.

Peter said: “Because of my business I am going to be spending more time away from Stratford in the coming months. I simply won’t be able to dedicate the time I would like to do the best job I can for the BID and therefore feel it is only fair to step down at this time.

“Although recent times have been challenging for anyone doing business, I have really enjoyed my time on the Board and as Chair. Because of the times we are in, I am in no doubt that a BID is more vital than ever for the future of the town I love. The team we have in place are excellent and make a positive daily difference to all of us trading in the town. Moreover, I am in awe of the dedication and commitment of all those business people on the Board who give up their time to help make doing business in the town better for all.

“Although no longer on the Board, I remain committed to what is an incredibly important organisation for the success of the town and will continue to assist them in any way I can.”
