All things green to be showcased at Bidford's eco fair

Stratford Editorial 18th Apr, 2023   0

GREEN-minded residents are being invited to an eco fair in Bidford at the weekend.

The fair takes place at the Crawford Memorial Hall from 10am to 1pm on Saturday (April 22), which is also Earth Day.

And there will be a range of activities including seed planting, nature crafts and the chance to sample plant based food.

Electric car owners will be parked outside and ready to give straightforward answers about running them.

Renewable energy experience will be shared, including solar power and there will be the chance to swap unwanted clothes.

Event organiser Amanda Billingsley said: “Obviously we can make a great contribution to carbon emissions by consuming less energy, food and stuff generally but it’s also so satisfying. I have talked to people who have an app to manage energy use, brought a new garment back to life, found a new use for an old object, or found a plant-based meat substitute that they wouldn’t now swap back, and they are all so happy about it. What’s not to like about saving money and resources and helping with climate change at the same time?”

Entry to the eco fair, all activities and refreshments are completely free of charge.
