Garden gates opening for charity in Alcester

Stratford Editorial 22nd Jun, 2022   0

GARDENS gates will be opened in Alcester this weekend in aid of charity.

The Alcester and District Friends of Cancer Research UK host the 30th garden walkabout on Sunday (June 26).

Around 20 gardens of all shapes and sizes will open to visitors, as will St Nicholas Church.

A selection of plants will be on sale as will refreshments including cream teas and ice creams.

The previous two walkabouts were cancelled due to the pandemic, resulting in an estimated £8,000 being lost that would have gone to Cancer Research UK.

Tickets the walkabout are £5 each (children under 12 free) – available at the Alcester and District Friends stall on Church Street.
