Shakespeare's Schoolroom & Guildhall deliver online Tudor lesson for Edinbugh Fringe Festival

Stratford Editorial 9th Aug, 2021   0

SHAKESPEARE’S Schoolroom & Guildhall will be offering a lesson Tudor style during this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The festival line-up includes events taking place both in the Scottish capital and digitally from locations around the globe to give a whole new look and feel to the world’s largest arts festival.

The Shakespeare event and performance has been curated in partnership with Tell Tale Presents. The hour long, family friendly event will introduce the character Master Thomas Jenkins, the school master of the young William Shakespeare, and his trusty Puck.

There will be an interactive Tudor lesson, a chance to find out more about the stories of this building, a Q&A session and other thrills and spills along the way.

Taresh Solanki of Tell Tale Presents, said: “Being part of Edinburgh Fringe is a really exciting opportunity for us, one that I think Shakespeare himself would have embraced as enthusiastically as the team at Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall.

“There are dates throughout August giving people the opportunity to join us in this unique historic setting from anywhere in the world. And we want people to have fun with everything designed for people of all ages to enjoy.”

Tickets for Shakespeare’s Schoolroom Live are priced from £5 and bookable in advance at tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/shakespeare-s-schoolroom-live. There are dates available throughout August, with each session starting at 5.30pm. The recommended age is eight plus.
