Man left with facial injuries after assault by armed robbers

ARMED robbers left a man with facial injuries after an attack on Banbury Road.

A man in his 40s was walking close to Alveston Manor Hotel at around 7.30pm on Tuesday (March 16) when he was approached by two men.

It is reported one of the men grabbed him and asked for money before making off empty-handed.

The victim was assaulted during the incident and received injuries to his face.




An ambulance was called but he did not need hospital treatment.

The suspects are described as two white men, both around 6ft tall.


One was of skinny build wearing a black Nike hoody and was thought to have an Irish accent. The other was of stocky build and wore a black hoody.

Anyone who saw the attack or have information is asked to call 101 and speak to police.
