Stratford Editorial 26th Sep, 2020   0

THE SHAKESPEARE Hospice shop in Henley is preparing to welcome back customers.

Its doors will be opening once again on Wednesday September 30. The shop hours have changed to Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

And it is accepting donations once a week on Monday, starting on October 5, 9am to 12pm, of clothing, books and bric-a-brac.

The hospice shop is also appealing for more volunteers.

Retail manager Becky Sewell said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming back our customers and starting to trade again. We are continuing to follow government safety advice and have measures in place for social distancing, hand sanitiser stations, and have introduced extra cleaning of our high frequency touch points in the shops, all donations are subject to a 48 hour quarantine and sanitising process.

“Our clinical teams are going above and beyond to care for and protect some of the most vulnerable people in our community at this difficult time. The income from our shops is vital funding to help us continue providing these services”.
