Alcester Library reopening this week

Stratford Editorial 11th Aug, 2020   0

ALCESTER Library is reopening this week.

The library will be reopening for the first time since lockdown from Thursday (August 13) as Warwickshire County Council continues its phased reopening of library services in the community.

It will operate under revised hours of 10am to 3pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays. It will be closed on Tuesdays and Sundays.

The building will have a new layout to enable social distancing and contact details will be taken for track and trace.

Face covers are compulsory as part of government guidelines.

Council spokesman for customer and transformation Kam Kaur said: “We are very happy to be able to start re-opening our libraries to residents again in a way that will help keep our customers and staff safe.

“We know people have missed visiting our libraries over the past few months, so this is another positive step forward as we work on the phased recovery and reopening of our facilities.”
