Warwickshire youngster cuts off hair to raise money for homeless

A KIND-hearted youngster has cut off his long hair to raise money for Leamington’s homeless.

Princethorpe College pupil Jesse Esler had his hair – which reached the middle of his back – snipped off to support homelessness support charity Helping Hands.

More than £1,100 has so far been raised, and his long locks have been donated to charity the Little Princess Trust, which creates wigs for children who have lost their hair through cancer.

The 11-year-old from Warwick said: “I am very surprised with the generosity I have received, I didn’t expect I would raise this much money for Helping Hands.

“I have chosen this charity because when I see the homeless-people in Leamington it makes my heart ache, I think they should receive the same choices, opportunities and second chances.”
