CHRISTMAS shopping started early for Stratford Rotarians.
The club filled shoeboxes with gifts and essential items which will be sent to refugee camps in poverty-stricken parts of Romania.
Rotary president Andreas Flor said: “The gifts in these boxes help to support some of the poorest people in their everyday lives, and by including toys for the children, and Christmas cards from our club, we are sharing our Christmas message of goodwill and friendship.”
The boxes were given to Christian charity Amen Trust which will distribute them across orphanages and camps.
A donation of £300 was also given to help the charity continue its work.
