Green-fingered folk lend a hand

Stratford Editorial 18th Aug, 2018   0

GREEN-FINGERED folk from NFU Mutual took a day out the office to help tidy the gardens at Shipston Children’s Centre.

The centre is run by the Parenting Project and provides a range of services for local families, including support for parents, child and family health services, stay and play sessions, and a toy library.

Centre manager Nicky Gillmore said: “We are so grateful to the NFU Mutual team for their help to tidy our garden.

“We have a fantastic facility for local families here in Shipston, and their support has made such a difference to our outside areas.”

Marianne Kelly led the team of volunteers from the Stratford-based insurance firm.

She said: “We had a great volunteering day at Shipston Children’s Centre.

“The centre provides a wonderful service for the local community, and we were really pleased to give our support. It was a team building day which gave us the opportunity to work with colleagues in a completely new environment, whilst also helping a worthwhile cause.”
