Festival not too late for summer

Stratford Editorial 11th Aug, 2018   0

SHAKESPEARE had to take a back seat as Lewis Carroll took centre stage in Stratford.

The Wonderland Summer Festival saw characters from Alice in Wonderland enjoying some fun and games on Waterside and Bancroft Gardens alongside the LSD Promotions-organised market.

The Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts, and of course Alice, met visitors and played games including giant chess and croquet.

And when refreshment was needed there was a Mad Hatter-style tea party on offer, and even ‘drink me’ cocktails.
