TRATFORD District Council has been recognised for its work to keep the streets safe.
The district’s CCTV system – which operates 87 cameras in partnership with surrounding towns and parishes – has received the British Standard Accreditation for an eleventh straight year.
Coun Peter Richards said: “It is vital that we can reassure our local communities that the CCTV in the district is accountable and professionally run.
“Continuing to achieve this accreditation shows what an excellent CCTV operation we have in the district.
“CCTV is a valuable community safety resource that provides peace of mind and reassurance and together with partners we are able to maintain this highly acclaimed service for residents, businesses and visitors alike.”
