Birth and Babies appeal continues to go from strength-to-strength - but support still needed

THE BIRTH and Babies appeal is currently half way to its target.

One of those supporting the appeal is local video company Soft Focus Productions, run by husband and wife team, and expectant first-time parents, Edward and Beckie Sanchez.

Each year the duo donate their video services to a cause, and so far they have given more than £2,000 of filming, editing and photography services to help the appeal.

Beckie said: “We’ve had a great time creating videos to help reach the Birth and Babies Appeal’s target and really hope our videos have helped boost the online presence of the appeal, as the MLU will bring so much comfort and ease to families in south Warwickshire in a life changing event.”

Another donation to the cause came from Dallas Burston Polo Club in Southam, which handed over £1,000 following its Ladies Day in June.

And even more money for the appeal is set to be raised by South Warwickshire Foundation Trust chairman Russell Hardy, who has signed up to walk three marathons in three days.

Mr Hardy will walk 78 miles from Shoeberryness to Watford in August and hopes to raise £1,000 towards the appeal.

He said: “I am delighted to be supporting our fund-raising appeal.

“The money will enable us to purchase equipment which will make women’s birthing experience the best that it can possibly be.”
