Sexual assault victim cried out for help

THE VICTIM of a ‘frightening’ sexual assault in the early hours of Saturday morning (June 2) was heard crying out for help.

Residents in the Clopton Road and Arthur Road area alerted police at around 1am after they heard the victim, a woman in her 30s.

The suspect is described as being 30-40 years old, and having a foreign sounding accent.

Detective Sergeant Alistair Knight said: “We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and have a police presence in the area to provide reassurance to the community.




“This was a frightening and distressing experience for the victim and we want to find the man responsible.”
