Stratford Editorial 26th May, 2018 Updated: 27th May, 2018   0

Fears are growing for a man who is thought to have jumped into the Avon on Friday night (May 25).

It is thought the picture released by police following the incident is 26-year-old Cameron Whelan from Birmingham.

Police were called following an assault outside McDonald’s after which they chased a man down to the river.

He is thought to have jumped in to escape police. A thorough search of the river went underway on Friday night and throughout Saturday.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone who has any information or recognises this man is urged to call police on 101.
