Arty students to brighten up development site

ARTY pupils have used their creative skills to brighten up hoarding around a development site near Stratford train station.

Stratford School pupils were approached by housing association Orbit to produce art for its new £40million housing development set to be completed in 2020.

The artwork will be digitally scanned and designed into frames before being printed and displayed across a section of the hoarding on Brunel Way in the coming weeks.

The budding artists were given the theme of ‘a great place to live’, incorporating the heritage and values of the town.

Orbit spokesperson Anthony Holt said: “We are delighted to have such talented art students on board; they have created a fantastic collection of vibrant, inspired pieces that bring to life our mission of building communities.”

Art teacher Chris Owen added the pupils were grateful for the ‘exciting’ opportunity to exhibit their work.
