LIGHTENING struck a church in Ilmington on Sunday.
Roof tiles and brick work were damaged, and fire crews rushed to the scene to ensure safety of the surrounding public.
The crews cordoned off the building and spoke to the owner who arranged for a builder to repair the damage.
