GET ready to go quackers at the Shakespeare Duck Race.
More than 2,000 ducks will be setting off from Lucy’s Mill Weir at 1.45pm tomorrow (August 26).
The Stratford Rotary Club Evening Group-organised event, sponsored by Care UK, will be raising cash for the Shakespeare Hospice’s new Children and Young People’s services.
Tickets are £2 for which people will be given an allocated numbered duck. There will be a cash prize of £150 for the winning duck, £100 for second, and £50 for the third. A fourth prize of a family ticket has been donated by Stratford Butterfly Farm.
There will also be a corporate Duck Race allowing companies to buy a range of ‘occupational ducks’, such as a chef duck, waiter and waitress duck and hairdresser duck.
Visit www.mydonate.bt.com/events/shakespeareduckrace2017 for main race tickets, and www.mydonate.bt.com/events/shakespearecorporateduckrace to enter the corporate race.
People will be able to follow the Duck Race on Stratford Rotary’s Twitter feed at www.twitter.com/StratfordRotary and at www.facebook.com/StratfordRotaryClub.
