Georgian property attracts interest online - but hides small secret

SPACE is certainly at a premium in a Shipston property put on the market by estate agent Peter Clarke.

Tenure Charity House is listed on popular property website Rightmove as a ‘classic Georgian House’, with ‘charming period features’ including an ‘elegant hall, two double bedrooms, exposed wooden floors and an Aga’.

But as ever there is a catch, and in this case, the property happens to be a doll’s house.

Standing at 30 inches tall, it was put on Rightmove to raise a smile, and hopefully a few pounds as well, as it is being auctioned in aid of Shipston Home Nursing.

The advert also recommends a child’s playroom or bedroom as a perfect setting for the grand home.

The pint-sized pad was made 15 years ago by Edgar Wright from Newbold, and bought from the charity by local supporter Maggie Cripps. Following Maggie’s passing, her husband kindly returned the house to be put back on the market.

Interest has soared since the Lilliputian home made national headlines, and negotations remain open until noon on September 7.

Funds will support the Shipston Home Nursing charity which provides free care to those wishing to spend their last days in the comfort of their own home.
