Bushcraft course on offer from Adam Henson

FARMER and TV presenter Adam Henson is offering families a slice of nature among the rolling hills of The Cotswolds.

The new Bushcraft course, set under the forest canopy near The Cotswold Farm Park, introduces skills such as foraging, shelter building, fire-lighting and natural navigation -and is available to both corporate teams and families.

Adam said: “Living in such a fast-paced world, full of technology, it’s never been more important to just get kids out into nature.

“This is a way of encouraging them – in a safe environment – to get outside their comfort zone and try something new and a bit different. They may never whittle wood or start a fire again in their lives, but at least they’ll know how to!”

There are 12 weekend bushcraft sessions this year and the option to stay overnight at the newly-renovated camp site.

Visit www.cotswoldadventures.com to book places, costing £100 for adults and £80 for children (eight years-old minimum age).
