HEALTHCARE champions in south Warwickshire are making their voices heard.
More than 1,000 people have signed up to South Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) campaign – which encourages residents to get involved and have their say on local healthcare services. Their views are then taken into account when decisions are made about healthcare in the area.
CCG chair David Spraggett said: “We have visited local GP practices, attended events and presented at community forums in Warwick, Shipston on Stour and Whitnash and received a fantastic response. Over 1,000 people have now signed up to become health champions, which is a great result. It’s really important to us as commissioners that we get a wide range of views and to hear from people of all ages.
“We were really encouraged that so many different groups of people in south Warwickshire wanted to get more involved with health services. We still have a way to go if we are to reach our final target but these latest figures are a great achievement.”
The CCG is still recruiting people to join the campaign.
