THE SEARCH is on for some of the district’s sporting stars.
A shortlist of finalists have been chosen for Stratford District Council’s Sports Awards 2017.
The annual ceremony, taking place on Friday February 17 at the Stratford Artshouse, recognises the year’s sporting triumphs as well as the hard work of volunteers, coaches and supporters in clubs and schools from across the district.
There will be awards for the year’s best junior sports person, senior team, sports volunteer and senior sports person.
Other prizes include the Service to Sport Award, PE Teacher Award and Alternative Sports Award.
