AN ENVIRONMENTALLY-friendly group armed with brooms and litter pickers are keeping Stratford’s streets clean.
Activist Jonathan Gullis set up ‘Keep Stratford Clean’ after noticing the amount of rubbish in the town.
Mr Gullis said: “We are all becoming more environmentally conscious and want our local area to be as clean and tidy as possible. It makes our community a nicer place to live and shows pride in where we live.
“Stratford is visited by millions each year and we are blessed to live in such a stunning town. However, we all know more can be done. “
Mr Gullis calling on residents to volunteer their time and help keep the town and parks clean.
He added: “I see it as our responsibility to maintain all year round rather than just one off events. A small donation of your time can make a big impact on your community.”
The group will be meeting in Shottery on Sunday (December 11) between 11am and 1pm to sweep leaves from footpaths.
