COUNCIL chiefs are urging young people to think of their friends’ safety.
In the last three years over 2,000 people aged 17 to 25 have been killed or injured on Warwickshire’s roads and new campaign
Friend or End campaign is calling on friends to look out for each other.
Warwickshire County Council has launched a survey to make young people think twice about driving dangerously or walking home from a night out alone for their own and their friends’ safety.
The survey asks people to consider what kind of friend they are using a variety of stereotypes such as the Nutter, Joker or Flirt.
County safety spokesman Coun John Horner said: “Rather than targeting the young people who might be walking or driving home under the influence of drugs or alcohol, this campaign speaks to their friends, the ones who can make all the difference by stepping in and doing the right thing.
“This campaign aims to show that no matter what kind of friend you are in your group, you can always say the right thing.”
