Stratford mum-of-three backs heart disease campaign

A MUM who suffered three heart attacks within a week has joined a campaign raising awareness about heart disease.

Stratford’s Sally Bee overhauled her diet and lifestyle after suffering three heart attacks when she was just 36 years old.

The healthy eating chef and mum-of-three – who is a regular on TV programme Lorraine – is backing the ‘Loving Hearts’ campaign.

It aims to raise awareness of heart disease among women in the UK.

With women more than twice as likely to die from heart disease than breast cancer, the campaign – run by Heart Research UK – will offer advice on how to reduce risk.

Sally, who is now 48, said: “This is a really interesting campaign, designed to get women over 40 to think more about their heart health.

“I encourage women to take part in the survey because the more information we have about the perception women have of their lifestyle and heart health the better we will become in addressing it.”
