Relative Values - Kineton Amateur Dramatic Society

NOEL Coward’s classic comedy Relative Values is brought to the stage by Kineton Amateur Dramatic Society.

Hollywood star Miranda Frayle shatters the austerity of post-war Kent as she flies in to marry the Earl of Marshwood. However, she hasn’t counted on her old flame and matinee idol Don Lucas crossing the Atlantic to disrupt the proceedings and reclaim her.

Furious Miranda’s attempts to send Don packing are thwarted by the wily Countess Marshwood who, less than happy at her son’s choice of future wife, spots the ideal opportunity to put a spanner in the works.

Inviting Don to stay the night at the family seat, the Countess knows that her faithful maid Moxie keeps an explosive secret which will blow Miranda’s cosy plans to smithereens.

The comedy of manners sees the old school establishment clash head on with the new world glamour of Hollywood.

The production runs from April 21 to 23 at Kineton Village Hall.
