STRATFORD MP Nadhim Zahawi was treated to an afternoon tea with a difference.

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Mr Zahawi hosted a lunch event at The Stratford Hotel on Friday (March 18).

Apprentices put their hospitality skills to the test by preparing and serving food for the Conservative MP before he spent time meeting The Stratford’s General Manager, Chris Steadman and Stratford College principal, Nicola Mannock.

After speaking to the apprentices, Mr Zahawi then helped to launch the new ‘Get into Q’ campaign, which saw the hotel’s owner QHotels pledge to create a further 100 apprenticeship opportunities in 2016.

Chris Steadman, General Manager of The Stratford, said: “We were thrilled to welcome Mr Zahawi to The Stratford to showcase the high calibre of apprentices and the experience and skills they have developed during their time at QHotels.”
