WEATHER permitting, Stratford Town will return to Southern League Premier Division action on Saturday when St Neots Town visit the DCS Stadium.
Postponements have meant Carl Adams’ side have played just once in the league since their victory over promotion-chasing Redditch United on Boxing Day and they are desperate to get back into the groove, especially on the back of a 3-0 defeat at Cirencester Town in their previous outing.
Town are 15th but, with as many as six games in hand on some of the sides above them, could still put themselves in with a chance of mounting a challenge for a play-off place with a good run of form.
On Tuesday Town visit play-off hopefuls Dunstable Town in a rearranged game.
TOWN will face either Rushall Olympic or West Bromwich Albion in the quarter-finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup.
Olympic face the Baggies in the last 16 on March 1 and the victors will travel to the DCS by March 15 at the latest.
Meanwhile, Stratford’s postponed fixture at Kettering Town has been rearranged for Tuesday, March 22.
FC STRATFORD consolidated top spot in Midland League Division Three as they scored seven goals for the second Saturday running.
This time the victims were visitors AFC Solihull who were beaten 7-0 as Ashley Wilkes (2), Will Matthews (2), Sam Davis, Ben Hill and Jay Tilbury were all on target for Pete Stephens’ side.
