ALCESTER Male Voice Choir hit all the right notes during their latest performance.
The 80-strong choir gave a lunchtime concert in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and earned a standing ovation from the international audience.
The programme, which was performed a cappella, was made up of a variety of sacred music sung in English, Welsh, Zulu and Latin.
Choir founder and director of music Judith Land said: “We were made very welcome and immediately felt at home.
“The choir appreciated it was going to be a very special day and they worked hard, looked especially smart and deserved all the accolades they received – I felt very proud of them.”
Following the recital, the choir visited the town where they were asked to give an impromptu singing performance to tourists before they finished the trip with a service in St George’s Chapel.
