THE FESTIVE season is underway at St John’s Church in Henley.
Parishioners played host to a Christmas Bazaar last weekend, featuring everything from home made jams to teddy bears, and is gearing up for its Christmas Tree Festival over the coming week.
Festival organiser and church organist Jayne Llewelyn said: “When we staged the event last year we had no idea what the response would be but we ended up with some 20 trees all beautifully decorated, which created a lovely atmosphere in our church.
“The trees were provided by individuals, schools, organisations, businesses and other churches in the town.”
The festival will run from Saturday (November 29) to Sunday December 7. Entry is free but organisers donations towards church funds and church charities are welcome.
