STRATFORD Town ended the campaign with a goalless draw against already-relegated St Ives Town on the final day of the season.
The Bards ended the season with a stalemate at Westwood Road to secure a top-half finish.
The result means Stratford finish the Southern League Premier Central season in 11th place, nine points away from the play-off places.
Both teams had little to play for with St Ives relegated in their penultimate game of the season and Stratford’s hopes of a top-10 finish unlikely.
The Bards dominated for long periods and went close early on as Ollie Taylor made a save low down with his feet to keep out Henry Landers’ driven shot.
And Taylor then tipped Charlie Wragg’s effort onto the outside of the post after the latter worked his way into the penalty area.
At the other end, Bards goalkeeper Jake Weaver smothered the danger with Amaru Kaunda bearing down on goal after good interplay with Jernade Meade.
Stratford remained on top as Taylor made two fine saves to keep the scores level at the break.
The St Ives shot-stopper first kept out Landers’ driven effort which took a deflection en route to goal as Taylor reacted sharply to make the stop.
And Taylor then showed quick reflexes to palm Josh Toluwaloju’s close-range header to safety moments later.
Chances were at a premium in the second period as Toluwaloju glanced a header wide before Kory Roberts saw his header cleared off the line.
St Ives thought they had ended the season on a high soon after when Theo Alexandrou tapped home a cross from the right from close range only for the assistant referee to flag for offside.
Bards boss Paul Davis handed first team debuts to Ky-Marni Farrell, Ellis Baker and Ethan Thompson late on as Stratford’s season ended with a stalemate.
