A WOMAN has been charged with manslaughter after a pensioner died following an incident at Birmingham New Street railway station.
Charlie Lane, 26, and of Marlborough Road, Gloucester, has been charged with Manslaughter and Racially Aggravated Public Order.
She has released on conditional bail to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on April 30.
Officers were called to the Birmingham New Street concourse to reports of an assault on the morning of November 19, 2024.
Dorothy Chiles, aged 87, was found at the station with serious injuries and rushed to hospital.
She underwent surgery on a fractured hip and was discharged on December 2, 2024 but sadly died from her injuries at home on December 27.
