THE SHAKESPEARE Hospice has been announced as the official charity for this year’s Shakespeare Marathon and Half Marathon.
And to celebrate this partnership, it is offering 50 free entry places to the first 50 runners who sign up to run on its behalf.
While participants who secure their place before the end of February will only be required to raise a minimum of £250 for the half marathon or £350 for the marathon.
After February, anyone who grabs a free place will be required to raise £300 for the half marathon and £400 for the marathon. Funds raised from the event will help The Shakespeare Hospice continue to provide for patients and their loved ones.
Alison Stone, the hospice’s community and events fundraiser, said: “By signing up to run for The Shakespeare Hospice, you’ll be supporting a local charity that provides essential care and support to those facing life-limiting illnesses. Every pound you raise will help us deliver specialist services to patients and families in need.
“Whether you’re a seasoned runner or taking on your first marathon challenge, the Shakespeare Marathon and Half Marathon promises to be a unique and unforgettable experience.”
