STRATFORD Town player-caretaker manager Chris Hussey has departed the club to join Hednesford Town.
Hussey drops down a level to join the Northern Premier League West Division side for an undisclosed fee.
The 36-year-old reunites with former Bards boss Gavin Hurren who departed for the Pitmen In November.
Following Hurren’s departure, Stratford placed veteran defender Hussey and first team coach Paul Davis in temporary charge of the club.
The duo guided the Bards to five wins, one draw and two defeats with Stratford currently second in the Southern League Premier Central table.
A club statement reads: “Stratford Town Football Club can confirm that Chris Hussey has accepted terms with Hednesford Town for an undisclosed fee.
“We thank him for his services at the club.”
Davis is now in sole caretaker charge of the club.
Stratford are next in action against AFC Sudbury on Saturday, January 11 with kick-off at 3pm at the Arden Garages Stadium.
