A SEX offender from Alcester who kicked and strangled his victim has been jailed for 12 years.
Paul Andrews has been found guilty of coercive and controlling behaviour, two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, sexual assault of a woman by digital penetration, and intentional strangulation.
The 38-year-old pleaded guilty to an additional count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
This follows a series of incidents which took place from December 2023 and February 2024.
He kicked a woman in the head causing a black eye in early-to-late January and caused another black eye during the first of two assaults in February.
Andrews has been sentenced to nine years in prison with an extension of three years imposed by the judge – a total of 12 years in prison.
He is also required to pay a £228 victim’s surcharge, and will be required to register with police in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act 2003 indefinitely.
Andrews was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court on October 16.
