STRATFORD RFC are hoping to utilise the expertise of Premiership giants Wasps to spread the rugby message across the area.
The Black & Whites, among the title contenders in Midlands One West, have announced an official partnership with Coventry-based Wasps.
It means Stratford will be able to benefit from Wasps’ community skills and coaching set-up, helping Stratford broaden their support and player base.
Stratford rugby followers will also be able to get special access to Wasps games.
“It’s a massive partnership for us,” said Stratford director of rugby Tom Rance.
“We are very keen, as a club, to take rugby into the community in and around Stratford.
“It’s a chance to work with a Premiership club in getting our message across, using their coaching expertise.
“It will help us get local schools involved, get more youngsters involved and help our profile. It will also mean local rugby fans can get easier access to Wasps game through Stratford.”
