STRATFORD Cycling Club’s past and present members continue to do well in the early season time trials.

Rosie Armitage (Echelon-Rotor) won the women’s ten-mile Coalville Wheelers hilly time trial with a time of 26 minutes, four seconds, whilst Peter Ward recorded 24.52 in the men’s event on the A10/33 course.

On Saturday Stratford stalwart Mick Stallard produce a superb 22:25 competing on the Malvern K46/10 course on a tough, windy day.

He was followed home by Adrian Osborn (24.45), Martin Millington (24.56) on his return to racing after a serious accident last year, Stephen Congleton (26.16) for whom it was a personal best and Keith Fitzgerald (27.44).

Local stars Tony Kiss (Performance Cycles) and Ian Heming (Echelon-Rotor) recorded times of 21.40 and 22.16 respectively just to show what was possible!

Not content with fourth place at Malvern, Kiss was again in action in the Cheltenham & County Cycling Club 20-mile hard riders event on Sunday and clocked a time of 49.41.
