WARWICK Tae Kwon-Do members enjoyed a great day on Sunday as they competed in style at the TAGB (Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain) Midlands Championships at Kettering Leisure Village.

Zack won a silver medal in the lightweight green belt sparring after winning five fights to get through to the final and Archie picked up a bronze in the lightweight yellow belt sparring as he soared into the semi-finals by winning his fights whilst barely having a point scored against him.

Amelie won a silver medal in the middleweight green belt sparring division and Izzy also did really well to come away with a bronze in the girls’ black belt heavyweight division.

There was also success for the club’s adults as Joanne won silver in the ladies’ blue belt middleweight sparring and Cassie secured bronze in the women’s black belt patterns.

In the team events Gabriel fought well to help his team get to the semi-finals, securing a silver medal for his efforts.

The club’s instructor Cassie Oury said: “It was a very satisfying day out for the club and everyone is now looking forward to the English Championships at University of Worcester Arena in mid-March.

“That’s a big event for us and training has already begun.”
