ZOMBIE filmmakers have thanked Alcester residents for their support.

The team from Pathogen Films have used the town as the base for filming their series Patient Zero.

Residents came out to be given scary makeovers at the Holly Bush Inn where the ‘siege’ is taking place.

The series – split into 20 minute episodes – tells the story of a Russian scientist who unwittingly infects the UK with a deadly virus.

A spokeswoman from Pathogen Films said: “Again the Alcester community has been fantastic.

We have been overwhelmed to see people travelling from London, Cardiff, Gloucester to name a few locations. We really do appreciate everybody’s support of this project & it is humbling to see the new friendships forming on set between our ‘zombies & survivors’.”
