ARTISTS across Warwickshire will be opening their studio doors later this month.

Warwickshire Open Studios, the county’s largest free visual arts event, will see over 250 artists showing their work from June 18 to July 3.

Artist and spokesman for Warwickshire Open Studios Don Mason, said: “Every summer, hundreds of visitors tell us that Open Studios is a really great day out with local trails to follow, quirky venues to enjoy, cake to eat and a huge variety of art to enjoy from huge sculptures to fine jewellery, breezy watercolours to meticulous miniatures.

“We’ve award-winning artists to up and coming new faces, artists at work and artists who love to share the way they work – and let you take a peek behind the scenes. You’ll see fascinating ‘work in progress’ and some artists even offering the chance to have a go yourself.




“Follow the trail from venue to venue stopping off at Rugby, Stratford, Shipston, Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth, Coventry, and new this year Studley centred around The Artists’ Workhouse.”

Art lovers can visit artists working in particular styles by searching the website – www.warwickshireopenstudios.org –


for the likes of ceramics, textile artists, wood artists and more.

The website also list over 100 homes, studios, historic barns, sheds, gardens and other more where artists’ paintings, ceramics, photography, jewellery, textiles, glass, furniture and more can be seen.

A free brochure is also available at the likes of libraries and galleries.
