Tree safety works to be carried out by River Avon

Stratford Editorial 3rd Mar, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

SAFETY works are set to be carried out on a number of trees along the River Avon.

Staff from Warwickshire County Council will be cutting down a defected horse chestnut tree and removing deadwood from a lime tree on the Recreation Ground on Wednesday (March 9).

The nearby pedestrian footpath will be closed while the works – which are expected to last a day – take place.

A diversion route will be in place to direct members of the public away from the area.

Stratford District Council regularly carry out inspections on trees on council-owned land and apologise in advance for any inconvenience the works may cause.
