A SUSPECTED drunk driver was tasered by police after a head on crash near Stratford.

The driver fled the scene following the crash near Long Marston Airfield just after midnight on July 28, without leaving any details but was found some two-and-a-half hours later by police officers in a garden – the location of which has not been reported.

The man who police say appeared drunk resisted arrest and was tasered before being taken into custody.

He was charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath and is set to appear before magistrates in Leamington next Thursday (August 13).

No one was seriously injured in the crash.
