STUDENTS at Stratford College have made the small screen.

Creative Media students are celebrating the first broadcast of their series ‘Reverb’ Big Centre TV.

The first of the weekly magazine-style music shows was broadcast earlier this month and will continue into 2016.

The college is an official partner of the Big Centre TV which came to fruition in 2014 and broadcasts across Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Solihull and The Black Country.

Chris Perry, Channel Director at Big Centre TV, was impressed with the students’ output saying: “Big Centre TV are delighted that Stratford College has joined our programme schedules providing weekly content.

“The college prides itself on originality and good production values. We look forward to many years working with them.”

Creative Media lecturer Phil Middleham is delighted that the college have been commissioned to make an arts and culture show – to be broadcast from October – and a second ‘Reverb’ series.

He said: “These programmes will throw a spotlight on Stratford, Warwickshire and our own College and provide our students with the means to demonstrate their talent and creativity to the wider public.

“It is certainly exciting times for students and the college!”

The ‘Reverb’ music series is being shown on Freeview channel 8 and Virgin channel 159 across the West Midlands and can be seen on Monday evenings at 8.30pm with a repeat on Saturdays at 7pm.
