Stepping out in Stratford for Prince Harry's charity Walking With The Wounded

WALKERS put their best foot forward along Stratford’s Canal towpath to help servicemen and women in need.

Twelve members of Andy’s Boots walked in support of Prince Harry’s charity, Walking With The Wounded, which is running a week-long campaign called ‘Walking Home for Christmas’, to provide help for disadvantaged services veterans who have no home to walk to. Over £100 was raised.

The group thanked David and Michelle at Mary Arden’s Inn in Wilmcote for their generous hospitality in providing our coffee break.

Andy’s Boots is attached to St Andrew’s Church Shottery and welcomes all walkers on Monday evenings during the summer months.

Among those on the walk was Naomi Whittaker – mother of Private Joe Whittaker, 4 Para, killed in action in Afghanistan in June 2008.
